Caribbean Stud Poker is a game of chance that in many respects are similar to regular poker. Actually, the game is not so much to do with stud poker, although the name might suggest that it is.

Background to Caribbean Stud

As the interest in poker grew, Caribbean Stud Poker was developed to fill the need. The background to the game comes from the poker legend, David Sklansky which cooperated with one person who owned the patent on a similar game. The two men developed Caribbean Stud Poker in the early 1980's and the predecessor was called Casino Poker.
